Terms of Use

These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Habitual Homes Learn (learn.habitualhomes.ca). The platform is run by Habitual Home Decor Inc., operating as Habitual Homes ("Habitual Homes", "we", "us"), 850 Danforth Rd, Scarborough, ON M1K 1H5, Canada. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

Who can use the platform

You must be at least the age of majority in your province or state to create an account.

Your account

• An account is for one person. Please don't share your login or your access with anyone else.
• Give us accurate information and keep your password safe.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else is using it, email us right away at info@habitualhomes.ca.

Free content and paid products

• Content in the Free Library is free for anyone with an account. We may add, change or remove free content at any time.
• Courses and downloads are one-time purchases. You get access for the period shown when you buy. If no period is shown, access does not expire, as long as the platform is running.
• Prices and what each product includes are shown on its page before you buy.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

What you may do with the content

When you have access to a video, PDF or other file, we give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to watch it and use it for your own home project.

You may not:

• share your account or your access;
• copy, download, record, upload, sell or redistribute our videos;
• share, send, publish or resell our PDFs and other files, in full or in part;
• use our content to teach a class, run a business or create a competing product;
• try to get around the platform's access controls or use automated tools to copy content.

Who owns the content

All videos, PDFs, text, images, logos and other content on the platform belong to Habitual Homes or are used with permission. They are protected by copyright and other laws. Buying a product gives you a licence to use it as described above. It does not transfer ownership.

Educational content only

Everything on the platform is general, educational information. It is not professional advice for your specific project. Please read our Disclaimer.

Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account, without a refund, if it is used in a way that breaks these terms, for example by sharing access or redistributing content. If we close your account for another reason, we will refund the unused part of any paid access. You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing info@habitualhomes.ca.

Changes to the platform

We work to keep the platform available, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may update, improve or remove features and content. If we ever stop offering a course you paid for before your access period ends, we will give you a fair refund for the unused period.

Limit of liability

The platform and its content are provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law:

• we are not responsible for decisions you make about your home, or for their results;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, construction delays or extra costs;
• our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Laws that apply

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are important, we will tell you by email or on the platform. If you keep using the platform after the changes, you accept the new terms.
